Biography

Elzie Bee Jaco was born on October 30, 1886 in Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee to William Jaco and Lockey Doss Fletcher.

Elzie migrated from Tennessee to Texas with his parents sometime after 1900 where his father William passed away in 1907.

Elzie married Cordie Deola Judd on May 3, 1908 in Hunt County, Texas. The result of their union was eight children. Maude, Emily, Herman, Claude, Dorothy, Opal, Bonnie and Eleanor.

Elzie was a farm hand by trade and worked many farms around Texas. He and his family migrated from Texas to Oklahoma and then back to Texas over the years. At some point in his advanced age, Elzie and his wife settled in Oklahoma where they both spent the remainder of their life.

Elzie passed away on April 4, 1969 at the age of 83 in Oklahoma. His final resting place is at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
