August J. Jacob, was born in 1843, the son of Jacques Joseph Jacob and Mary Barbara Boly. His mother, Mary later married Louis Fosty. August married Sarah Jane Brown in 1879 in Ohio. August died in 1918 in Fostoria, Ohio. [1]

Death of ex wife: Sarah J. (Brown) Jacobs, 84, “a widow”, died in 1933 in Fostoria, Ohio. She was the daughter of Martin Brown and Katherine Leedy. The informant to her death was (her son) Edgar B. Jones. [9]
