Lillian Georgina Jacob was born in January 1930 of Jewish parents in Rangoon Burma. Here parent are believed to have been Mozes Jacobs and his wife Aziza (nee Solomon).
After being evacuated, firstly to India, she was then sent to the United Kingdom during World War II. Finally she found her way to Australia in the 1950s. Starting out as first a hairdresser to Melbourne's elite and later a fashion designer and Newspaper Columnist. She was highly involved in charities such as the Royal Children's Hospital and Odyssey House, Melbourne and received Australian and also British Commonwealth Honours for her Philanthropy.
Lilian Jacob married Richard Frank in 1966, and they had two daughters. As yet I cannot ascertain where they was married, if anyone can provide a reference that would be greatly appreciated.
