Biography

Bessie Martha Jacobs was born July 3, 1883 and is the daughter of Daniel Jacobs and Sarah Willis. Bessie grew up in Mount Ayr Township, Iowa[1] along with ten siblings; Mary Ann Jacobs, James William Jacobs, Jacob Alva Jacobs, Clara Ellen Jacobs, Clarence Augusta Jacobs, Bertha Jacobs, Daisy Addie Jacobs, Lamoin Norman Jacobs, Ethel Mae Jacobs and Alta Pearl Jacobs.

Bessie married Royden Whitecotton[2] July 25, 1901[3][4] and they made their home in Dunn, North Dakota[5] and Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada until her death March 25, 1960.[6] Together they raised three children; Ora Eldin Whitecotton, Freida Whitecotton and Lynn Ray Whitecotton. Her place of burial is unknown at this time.
