Biography

Anna Jacobs was born about 1675.[1][2]

Anna Jacobs married Simeon Warner, son of Isaac Warner and Ann Packwood. Some researchers have suggested they married in Friedrichstadt in 1694. However, this has not been corroborated and should be treated with caution. They had eleven children: Anna Warner (1695–1757); Isaac Warner (1696–1697); Martha Warner (1698–1742); Mary Warner (1700–1700); Margaret Warner; Isaac Warner (1703–1777); Katherine Warner (1705–?); Mary Warner (1707–?); Rebecca Warner (1709–1747); Simeon Warner (1711–?); and Jacob Warner (1715–1758).

Anna (Jacobs) Warner passed away in 1743. She was buried at the Long Lane Friends Burial Ground in Southwark on 2 April 1743.[1][2][3] She was survived by

  • her husband Simeon
  • seven of her children eleven children
  • at least three grandchildren

Research Notes

Disputed Birth

The transcription of Anna's burial record places her birth about 1675[1][2]
Researchers have suggested that she was the daughter of either Jacob Giesberts or Peter and Anne Jacobi. These researchers place her birth in Friedrichstadt, Germany
As no primary source has been located to corroborate Anna's place of birth, other researchers have stated the relationship was probably made up.
More research is required

Uncertain Marriage

Anna's name appears on the baptism record for several children by Simeon Warner
Anna is recorded as the spouse of Simeon Warner in the transcription of her burial record[2]
While researchers have suggested they married in Friedrichstadt in 1694, no primary source has been located that corroborates this.
