Mary was born to Thomas and Sarah Jacob in Ipswich on November 7, 1672.[1] She married Abraham Tilton there on December 11, 1693[2] and the first of their five children was born in August of 1694.[3]
Mary's father granted the couple a small parcel of land in 1696/7, "in consideration of love and affection which I do bear upon my son-in-law...as a gift upon marriage..."
