Joseph Jacobs, son of William and Susannah, was baptised 8 Sep 1811 in Affpuddle, Dorset, England. [1]

He married Sarah Smith on 31 Oct 1837 in St Mary's Wareham, Dorset, England. He was 24 and she was 18, the daughter of George Smith. [2]

In 1841 Joseph Jacobs, age 25 agricultural labourer and his wife Sarah 20 live with their daughters Elizabeth 3 and Emma 1 in North Pool PB, Morden, Dorset. [3][4].

Joseph, 25, married with 2 children was charged with trespass and imprisoned for 2 calendar months in April 1842.[5].

Joseph Jacobs, wife and 4 children emigrated to South Australia on the Bussorah Merchant, arriving at Port Adelaide on 10 Nov 1848. [6].

Joseph passed away age 68 on 11 Feb 1879 in Moculta, South Australia. [7].
