Benjamin was born in 1816. He was first married to Sarah Ann Hitchens (marriage record needed) in about 1837. He is listed with Sarah and five children on the 1850 Census.[1] Sarah passed away in 1853 (likely in childbirth with the daughter; Laura born in the same month and year). Sometime between 1853 and 1860 he was remarried to Jane Richardson (marriage record needed). He is listed with Jane on the 1860 Census.[2] He passed away in 1873 at the age of 56.[3][4]
