Journalist and Founder of Akaroa Mail newspaper. Born at Exmouth, Devonshire 1841.Guardian Bishop W. Jacobson of Chelsea { Chester?) following father's death at the age of 12 years.. Educated Kings College London, Royal Navy Cadet on HMS Peake at age 17. Exited Royal Navy and relocated to Wellington.Landed in Wellington.
