Biagio Jaconelli was born in San Biagio Saracinisco 25 May 1897. He came to Göteborg in Sweden with his parents, Fillippo Jaconelli and Anna di Zazzo before 1906 - his sister Maria Civita was born in Göteborg in January 1906. His father was a musician and the whole family were Roman Catholics. They lived in Masthugget.[1] (Actually they arrived in 1903).[2]
Biagio Jaconelli grew up to be a musician. In 1916 he was fined 40 kronor for petty larceny.[3]
Biagio went back to Italy at the end of the first world war (he is in the list of absentees for Masthugget in Göteborg). He went to San Biagio Sarascinisco to fetch Maria Assunta Rossi as his bride. They married in April 1920 and came to Göteborg together in July. They had three children.[4] The whole family moved to Stockholm in 1932.[5]
At the time of the census 1940 they lived in Katarina parish in Stockholm. In addition to being a musician, Biagio worked as an instrument maker in an accordeon factory.[6]
