DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nicolas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nicolas:
Nicolas Jacques born 1691 and Louis Jacques born 1694 are brothers, therefore making Nicolas Ignace and Nicolas Louis cousins. I will hold off until I see some of the other profiles for both Nicolas (Ignace) and Nicolas (louis). Thanks again for your help.
hI, Jillaine, thanks for the proposed merge and I am in the process of resolving the difference. It appears that they are two different people (cousins).
The Nicolas (Louis) Jacques (3rd cousin 7 times removed) is the son of Louis Jacques born in 1694and Marie Marguerite Sequin and was married to Marie Louise Helene Hanceleur on 18 Apr 1746. Because Nicolas Louis died in 1751, They only had one child, Germain Jacques, born 1749.
The Nicolas (Ignace) Jacques (3rd cousin 7 times removed) is the son of Nicolas Jacques born 1691 and Marie Catherine Marguerite Allard and was married to Marie Rose Desplaines on 14 Jun 1751. Because Nicolas Ignace didn't die until 1808 and Marie Rose didn't die until1805, they went on to have more than six children.

Jacques-557 and Jacques-217 are not ready to be merged because: Sorry to postpone this, but there are conflicts in the birth dates. Please resolve so that we can complete this merge. Thanks.
