William Jacques was born in Western Australia, Australia
William was born on the 26 July 1874 in the Town of Toodyay, on the Avon River in the Wheatbelt region, 85 kilometres (53 miles) north-east of the City of Perth, in Western Australia[1]. He was the son of Pauley Jacques and Hannah Dew. He died, at the age of 24, on 1 September 1901 at Newcastle Government Hospital, in Newcastle, north of the Town of Toodyay, in Western Australia, Australia[2].
