George (Macknoe) Jacques was born in Western Australia, Australia
George Edward "Macknoe" was born on the 12 August 1898 in the Town of Toodyay, on the Avon River in the Wheatbelt region, 85 kilometres (53 mi) north-east of the City of Perth, in Western Australia[1][2]. He was the son of Edward Jacques and Anne "Annie" Sophia "McKnow" McKnoe. His marriage to Irene Beatrice Gillies took place on the 14 July 1926 in the City of Perth, Western Australia[3]. He passed away on the 29 January 1980 in the suburb of Bentley, in the City of Perth, Western Australia at the age of 81[4]. His cremation took place around the 30 January 1980 at Karrakatta Cemetery and Crematorium, Railway Road, Karrakatta, City of Perth, Western Australia. The location of his ashes are in the Garden of Remembrance, Section EC, Garden 25, Position 229[5].
