MR. A. F. M. JAHN.
The death is announced of Mr. Adolph F. M. Jahn, of the Sportsman's Arms Hotel, which occurred on Friday night. The deceased, who was 61 years of age, was born at Gumeracha. He came to Mount Gambier about twelve months ago, having acquired the lease of the Sportsman's Arms. His wife died about five months ago, and this had a depressing effect upon him. The cause of his death was paralysis. Mr. Jahn, prior to coming to Mount Gambier, conducted several hotels in the city, including the Plough and Harrow, and the Austral Hotels, in Rundle-street. The deceased leaves a family of three grown up daughters, viz., Mrs. Fred. Carroll, Melbourne, and the Misses Marjorie and Dorothy Jahn, of Mount Gambier.
