Johanne Jakobsdatter Sæbø was baptized on 14 Sep 1783, the daughter of Jacob Christian and Margrete Pedersdatter.[1]

Johanne married Matias Matiasen Aarset on 8 Jul 1810.[2] Their children were:

  1. Anne Margrete Mathiasdatter (1810 - 1884)
  2. Ole Martines Matiasen (1812 - 1853)
  3. Knud Mathiassen (1814 - 1890)
  4. Johanne Matiasdatter (1816 - 1890)
  5. Jakob Christian Matiasen (1818 - 1897)
  6. Anders Matiasen (1820 - 1839)
  7. Pernille Mathiasdatter (1822 - 1906)
  8. Martines Matiasen (1824 - 1824)
  9. Randi Marte Matiasdatter (1825 - 1901)

In the 1865 census, Johanne Jacobsdatter (age 84) was the widowed mother of Knud Mattiassen at Aarsæt in Hjørundfjord.[3]

She died on 3 Jan 1866 in Hjørundfjord.[4] The age given on her burial record was 83 years.
