Jakob Israel Jakobsen Myrhol, son of Jakob Olsen and Kari Ingebrigtsdatter, was born in early 1724 at Myrholen farm in Hjørundfjord, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He was 20 weeks old at the time of his father's probate record, dated August 29, 1724[1].
In the 1762 extra tax lists Jacob was listed at Søvre in Hjørundfjord with his wife Randi.[3]
Jakob and his wife Randi were two of the 27 people who drowned on January 1, 1770, when 3 boats on the way to church were overturned[4]. The age given on his burial record was 46 years.
