Jane James was born in 1883 in Llanberis, Caernarvonshire, Wales to Robert James and Ann (Davies) James. Her birth was registered in Carnarvon in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Davies.[1]
In 1891 Jane James (age 8, Yogolor?) lived at Fron in Llanberis with her father Robert (61, Farmer), mother Ann (48), sister Maggie (15), and brother Ellis (13, Yogolor).[2]
In 1901 Jane James (age 18) lived at Glanafon Terrace in Llanberis with her father Robert (72, Farmer), mother Anne (58), brother Ellis (23, Slate Quarry Man), brother-in-law John G Ellis (33, Slate Examiner), and sister Maggie Ellis (25).[3]
Jane James married Owen Griffith Closs in 1907. The marriage was registered in Carnarvon in the last quarter of the year.[4]
In 1911 Jane Closs (age 28) lived in Llanrug, Carnarvonshire with her husband Owen G (42, Chwarelwr Creigwr, Chwarel Lechi [Quarryman at Slate Quarry]) and daughter Maggie James (1).[5]
Jane Closs passed away in 1927, aged 44 years. Her death was registered in Bangor, Caernarvonshire in the last quarter of the year.[6]
