Biography

John was born in Hingham about 1712. He was the son of Thomas and Patience (Tower) James.^[1]

He married Deborah Bates widow of Canterbury Stodder 28 Jul 1743.^[1][2]

He lived in Hingham, second precinct (became Cohassett in 1770) at or near the easterly terminus of Jersalem Road.^[1]

He passed away before 1768, when Deobrah married for a third time to John Turner.^[1]
