Biography

William Herbert Leslie was born on the 1st July 1898^[1]^[2]^[3] at Llandeilo Graban, Radnorshire^[4], or Erwood, Breconshire^[5], Wales and baptised on the 17th July 1898 at Llandeilo Graban, Radnorshire, Wales, the son of Clara Annie James of Nelva^[6].

In 1919, he had a relationship with Beatrice Jones while working at Llandovery, Carmathenshire, Wales. Beatrice had a child Eiluned Jones who was born in 1920 and adopted by Beatrice's sister Eleanor.

William Herbert Leslie married Kathleen Lucy Allwood in 1933 in Nottinghamshire, England^[7].

In 1939, he was occupied as a general labourer and living at The Bungalow (probably on Netherthorpe Road), between Netherthorpe and Thorpe Salvin (Kiveton Park), Yorkshire, England, with his wife Kathleen, daughter Maureen and 3 other probable children (redacted)^[1]

He passed away aged 84 years in 1982 in Nottinghamshire, England^[2].
