How were Nathaniel, Thomas and Samuel Harris "removed to Cumberland Co. New Jersey by 1615," when they were not born until after 1693? Is that date perhaps 1715???? In the words of Spock, "It does not compute."

I agree. In my database I have added [1715?] after the 1615 dates. I'm not sure this is correct, but clearly the 1615 dates are not correct. Doug

Apologies for being so tardy to correct this error in the date (not 1615, 1715 is correct). Thank you for you note.

There are two Nathaniel Harris profiles I think that should be merged.

You are right Joseph. I think there are at least three or more pairs of profiles that need merging, down the tree from the Ruth (James) (Harris) Moore merge. I looked at them but haven't had time to work on them yet.

I'm trying to merge my profile to this one. I can not I think because I'm not pre 1700 qualified yet . Thank you to any one that can help.

James-18619 and James-1567 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicates. Son Nathaniel also has duplicate profiles and a merge for him has been proposed.

Would it be possible to give an active link to a webpage for the source?

I'm trying to correct the name. I'll see if I can find a webpage

posted on James-18619 (merged) by Joseph Putnam

James-12135 and James-1567 appear to represent the same person because: Ruth James, widow of Thomas Harris, married Joseph Moore 26 Oct 1704 in East Hampton, Long Island. She had two daughters, Ruth Moore and Abigail Moore, who were born after 1698, who were half sisters of Nathaniel and Samuel Harris, sons by her first husband, Thomas Harris. Ruth most likely died at Southampton, which was the home of her second husband who she predeceased. Ruth had three surnames in her lifetime: 1. James, her father's surname, 2. Harris, her first husband's surname, 3. Moore, her second husband's surname.

Please note that Ruth James was born at New Haven, where her parents lived before they removed to Long Island.

The two profiles for Ruth James need to be merged with the lower ID# being the final ID#. (The duplicate profiles for her father Thomas James, and for her husband Thomas Harris also need to be merged.)
