Ruth James was the daughter of Rev. Thomas James Jr, of Easthampton, Long Island, and his wife Ruth (Jones) James. ^{[1] [2]}

2. After the death of her first husband, Ruth (James) Harris married Joseph Moore as his 2nd wife, "a gentleman of Southampton" on 26 Oct. 1704. ^[5] Ruth and Joseph had two daughters who were born after 1698. ^[6]:

Death

Ruth predeceased her 2nd husband Joseph Moore, who married a third time after the death of Ruth. It is believed she died about 1723 in Southampton, Suffolk, Long Island, New York. ^[7] Joseph made his will in 1723. ^[8]
