According to Quaker records in Warrington, PA, Thomas James married Hannah Cook in 1794.
According to The History of Logan County and Ohio, Thomas was born and raised in Virginia. He moved to Pennsylvania when he became old enough to leave home. About 1807 or 1808 he left Pennsylvania and moved to Columbiana County, Ohio briefly. Then he settled in Cincinnati, Ohio for two years, finally settling in Perry Township, Logan County, Ohio in 1810 until his death in May 1836.
Thomas James had six children with his wife, Isaac, Hannah, Thomas, Sarah, Phoebe, and Levi.
Thomas was born about 1765. He passed away in 1836.
