Biography
James (Jemmy) was baptised on 3rd September 1758 at English Bicknor by his father Richard. [1]
On 26 August 1773 James married Martha Price in Newland. [2]
Jemmy died aged 76 in 1822 and was buried in Newland on 16th May. He had last lived in Bream. [3]
In his Will made in 1822 Jemmy mentions he is a Yeoman and makes bequests to his wife Martha, sons Richard (bap 1779) , William plus James (bap 1782) and John (bap 1787) and daughters Ann (1791), Susannah (Page) (bap 1774), Mary (Nash), Elizabeth (Lea) (bap 1777). He owned property in Bream. [4]
