Hattie James was born 18 April 1871 in Bridgewater, Oneida, New York. She was the daughter of John William James and Margaret Adela Davies.. Hattie grew up in Bridgewater where she is listed in the 1875 New York State Census.[1]
In 1876, the James family relocated to Montgomery County, Iowa, where Hattie , who was just 7 years old passed away, 26 September 1878. She is buired in the Gomer Cemetery in Wales, Montgomery County, Iowa. [2]
