Jack Earl James was born June 14, 1923 to Filey E. James and Minnie E. James in Opelika, Alabama.[1]

He served the United States Army during World War II. He was a Private in the United States Army during WWII. Enlisting on January 11, 1943 at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. [2]

In the 1940 United States Cenus, he is listed as 16 years old and living in the household of Fowler James, his father, in Election Precinct 2, Opelika, Alabama.[3]

He married Mary George Mahone on October 19, 1946 in Macon County, Alabama. Their children were:

  1. Barry Earl James
  2. Robert Frank James
  3. Patricia Sue James
  4. Gary Lamar James

He died, at the age of 62, on June 8, 1986 in Auburn, Alabama. [4] He is buried at the Notasulga City Cemetery in Notasulga, Alabama.[5]
