James—Barbe
A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. John's Church of England last Monday afternoon, when Joyce, youngest daughter of Mr. M. W. and the late Mrs. Barbe of Tullamore, was married to Albert Edward, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. James of Dubbo. Rev. H. G. Mathers was the celebrant.
The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, departed from the customary wreath and veil, and wore a gown of dusty pink windswept crepe, featuring long sleeves and a deep collar of white lace. A white picture hat completed her attire.
Mrs. L. Treanor, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor, and wore a frock of shell pink crinkle crepe, made with a cowl neckline, and trimmed with shirring. She also wore a white picture hat.
Mr. Les James, brother of the bridegroom, filled the role of best man, while Mr. L. Treanor assisted as groomsman.
The reception was afterwards held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Treanor of Rankin Street. The young couple later left on the honeymoon, which is being spent at Dubbo. Their future home will be at Tottenham.
No Issue.
