Minnie Myrtle James was born to John Franklin James and Nancy Dorenda Randolph in Walker County, Alabama.
Minnie lived with her family in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Missouri prior to marriage and moving to Arkansas.
She corresponded with several of her James family including her Uncles, James Riley James, and Uncle Lesley Christopher James. After she moved to Arkansas she corresponded with her mother back in Missouri and other family members. In the 1980's she had kept this treasure trove of valuable correspondence and assisted this writer to locate James and Myers's family. Although one of the younger children in the family she had valuable genealogical information and happily shared her knowledge.
She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren adored her as did her siblings and extended family. Like her siblings, she had the gift of storytelling.
