Biography

james was born in 1703, the son of James Jameson and the brother of Jean Jamison Moir (1694-1778). He married Jean (or Jane) Smith and their daughter Jean was christened in Newhills in 1728. The birth of his daughter, Elspet is recorded in Belhelvie in 1732.
