Biography
Mary Russell (Jameson) Scott is a part of US Black heritage.
Mary Russell was born about 1909 in Culpeper, Virginia. She was the daughter of Billie Jameson and Daisy (LNU). She married Gabriel Williams in 1927 in Washington DC, and they had at least 5 children together before they divorced sometime after 1940. She moved to Edison, New Jersey around 1956 and lived there the rest of her life, where she worked as an operator for Louis Lefkowitz and Son in New Brunswick. At some point she married again to Emmett Scott, who predeceased her. She passed away in 1986 in New Brunswick, and was buried back in Virginia.
