She married Alexander Govan on October 26, 1823 in Stonehouse, Lanark.[2]and under the name Marion Govan was in her father's home in the 1841 Census:

Although married and widowed, when she died on November 23, 1873 in Renfrew Township, Renfrew county, Ontario, she was listed by her maiden name Marion Jamieson and cause of death was dropsy two weeks. Her brother Alexander Jamieson was the informant.[3]
