Research Note
Abraham is thought to be the son of Robert Jamison and his wife Mary Vastine. Current research shows the link through Sarah Jamison, thought to be his sister. Cadwallader family records show Sarah, the daughter of Robert Jamison and his wife Mary married John Cadwallader in 1771.[9]
The Cadwalladers were Quakers, and the profile of John's father Joseph Cadwallader mentions Quaker meeting in various places including Gwnnedd, Pennsylvania, Fairfax Virginia, Frederick Virginia, with Joseph Cadwallader finally ending up in Redstone, Fayette, Pennsylvania where he passed away in 1789.
The 1787 tax record for Fayette County, Pennsylvania, groups Abraham Jamison with the Cadwallader family. It shows[10]
Reece Kidwallider 100 acres, 3 horses 3 cattle
Abraham Jamison 128 acres, 2 horses 1 cattle
John Kidwallider, no land, 2 horses 3 cattle
Septimun Kidwallider, no land, 2 horses 5 cattle.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Abraham by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Abraham:
