Cynthia Janes was born on June 23, 1763 to William and Hannah Janes in Brimfield, Massachusetts.[1] She married Luke Ballard on 21 October 1784 in Holland, Massachusetts.[2] Her parents names were William Janes and Hannah Cheney.[3]
She and her husband, Luke, had five children before his early death in 1815. She went on to marry James Dean, and possibly before him, a man named Phelps. She died in 1837 at the age of 73 in Westmoreland, Oneida County.[4]
