Luce, the daughter of Jean Baptiste Jeannot and Luce Breux was born 15 July 1830 in Rouville and baptized the following day. The Saint Jean Baptiste de Rouville parish register identifies her as "Luce née d'hier du légitime mariage de Jean Baptiste Jeannot cultivateur en cette paroisse et de Luce Breux. Parrain Abraham Macé, marraine Elisabeth Beauvais."[1]
On 1 February 1853, she married Amable Laplante in Saint Jean Baptiste, Rouville. The Saint Jean Baptiste parish records state that the marriage was between "Amable Laplante, cultivateur, fils majeur de Louis Laplante et de défunte Agathe Doiron de la paroisse de Ste Marie du Monnoir, d'une part; et Luce Jannot fille majeure de Jean Baptiste Jannote et de Luce Breux de cette paroisse d'autre part: . . . en présence de Amable Choquette parrain et Louise Laplante frère de l'époux, de J. Baptiste Jeannot frère et Joseph Vincelette oncle de l'épouse et de plusieurs autres parens et amis." (Signé par Emerence Jeannotte, Luci Janotte, J Bte Janotte [2]Their children include:
Rose Victoria Delia Laplante, 1874, most likely the daughter listed as Osinas Laplante, age 6 in the 1881 census
Luce died at the age of 51 on 28 July 1883 and was buried three days later in the parish of Sainte Marie de Monnoir. Parish records identify her as "Lucie Jeannotte, épouse d'Amable Laplante, cultivateur, décédée en cette paroisse le vingt huit du mois courant à l'iago de cinquante un ans."[3]
