From notes , see Bio Husband Christiaen Barents Van Horn:Williams said (p. 4) : "As to the ancestry of Jannetje Jans, wife of Christian Barentsen, nothing whatever is known." This is also the conclusion reached by Dr. George E. McCracken (TAG, supra, 38:65-69) and we concur, despite attempts to tie her with Anneke Jans Bogardus, the Webbers and William of Orange. She must have been an outstanding person to have married such men as Van Horn and Van Buskirk, and to have reared seven sons so successfully.
Jannetje Jans married Christian Barentsen Van Hoorn as her first husband. They had several children.[1]
Her second marriage was to Laurens Andriessen Van Boskerk (Van Buskirk). She survived him by a few months, dying on July 13, 1694. [1]
Children by first husband Van Horn:
Barent Christiansen, prob. b. in Noord Holland ca. 1651. . . .
Cornelis Christiansen, bapt. 3 Aug. 1653, New Amsterdam Dutch Reformed Church. . . .
Johannes Christiansen, bapt. 18 Mar. 1657, New Amsterdam Dutch Reformed Church.
Birth
Jannetje (Tuman) Jans was born about 1629 in Hoorn, Holland [2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jannetie by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jannetie:
Jans-7016 and Jans-43 appear to represent the same person because: clear duplicate. husband was just merged. note when merging Dutch women did not use their husband's surname, CLN should be Jans
Jannetje Jans did not have a Maritje Jans as her mother , see the duplicate profile, where the marriage transcript + source and scan is added , her father is not mentioned there , but the patronymic of her and her brother is Jans so this indicates her fathers first name would have been Jan , not Tyman . This probably is still a part of the false lineage we are correcting , so Jannetje has to be detached from these parents and after that can be merged into the duplicate, which also has a set of wrong parents , that need to be corrected (see post duplicate ) .
Added marriage + transcript and translation, also link to the original record (Familyearch, her mother was named Nieltie (or Neeltje) Jans , her brother Jan Jans , so no Neeltje Webber . Guess we could keep the Jan Jans as brother and detache her from Neeltje Webber . Or..since there was no Neeltje Webber born as daugther of Wolfert Webber and Anneken Koch , she maybe could stay (LNAB needs to be corrected to Jans) as the mother of Jannetje Jans and her brother Jan Jans (who now is added as her father ?
update: Previous Neeltje Webber has her LNAB corrected and still is her mother (as she already was.
ok according all info her parents are unknown and the Webber parents are also part of the false ancestry, so I guess she should be disconnected from them as well
Jans-154 and Jans-43 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest maternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the patronymic NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
Von Zutphen-5 and Jans-154 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. No more conflicts that would prevent a merge. Jans-154 is the PPP profile for her.
The birthdate and place, deathdate and place, husband, and son for Von_Zutphen-5 all match Jans-154. The parents are not an obvious match, but are likely to be the same.
Jans-154 and Jans-790 appear to represent the same person because: they were in an unmerged match & the New Netherland Settlers Approval System (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:New_Netherland_Settlers_-_Approval_System) now has them marked "Green" (NNS Category) and "Orange" (Merge Pending), indicating that the two are ready to be merged. Thanks!
She shares the same death data, but marriages and children seem to completely overlap with no commonality. So it seems clear that there has been confusion in the family histories about when and where each woman died.
