I've decided to keep Berentjen Jans as Geesien's mother because this is the marriage record that works the best for Geesien's parents. Almost all the others were too late. There were 3 Hendrik Geerts in the 1675 lists and 7 of them married between 1649 and 1672, so Geesien's parents most likely appear on it. Otherwise her name was the most likely to be Mergjen, but it could have been Femmigje as well. Her patronymic woud be completely unknown - it could have been a wide variety of names, including Jans.
