Biography

When Abraham Jansson was born on March 20, 1792, in Ljusnarsberg, Örebro, Sweden, his father, Johan, was 29 and his mother, Maria, was 33. His birth record is missing, but the date is mentioned in Household records [1] and death record.

He married Sara Ersdotter Rundqvist on April 30, 1814, in his hometown. They had three children in 12 years. Abraham was a crofter and Country constable ("Fjärdingsman") [2]

He died on February 26, 1861, in Rosendal, Västmanland, Sweden, at the age of 68, and was buried in Västra Skedvi, Västmanland, Sweden. [3]

Residence

  1. 1820 - 1825 In Hyttmossen, Ljusnarsberg, Örebro. The family is housed at Högfors in a back cabin ("backstuga"). Moves to Västra Skedvi, Västmanland in 1825. No other children than Clara Lisa and Carl August mentioned. [4]
  2. 1825 - 1831 In Bodatorp, Västra Skedvi, Västmanland. The crofter Abraham Jansson arrives in 1825. Son Johan Frans is born in 1827.[5]
