Jonas (Jon) Jansson Bergström was born on October 8, 1786 and christened on the same day in Getberg in Ullånger parish, Västernorrlands län, Sverige[1]. He was the son of Johannes Ersson and his wife Magdalena Nilsdotter. He lived in Getberg 3 with his family until he got married in 1811[2][3]
He lived in Getberg 3 with his new family until his wife died in 1819 [4] When he married Margareta Nilsdotter from Träsk in Skog parish on December 31, 1820 his name was recorded as Jonas Bergström.
Jonas continued to live in Getberg 3[6] until he passed away aged 43 of pneumonia (sv. håll och styng = lunginflammation). He died on March 5, 1830 in Getberg and was buried on March 14, 1830 in Ullånger.[6]
Research note: Jonas' LNAB was certainly Jonsson. The only mention of the name Bergström is in the second marriage record. In as much as there are minor errors in the Household records, this might have been careless work of the recorder. There were other Bergströms living at Getberg 3.
