Claes married 1 Aecht Dircks from Westwoud on August 25 1641. No children listed in baptism records.
Claes married Geert Claes from Westerblokker on Dec 7 1653. Child: Marij.
Claes was the school teacher in Westerblokker. He was also the “voorsanger” (probably the person leading the singing in church). He made profession of faith in the Westerblokker church on May 10 1643 in Westerblokker along with Aecht Dircks his wife. Jan and Lijst Allertsz Gorter made profession of faith at the same time.
There were 4 men named Claes from Oosterblokker getting married at the right time, but only one from Westerblokker where Marij was from. So I’m assuming this is Marij’s family. The baptism records from 1648 through 1663 are missing, so it’s impossible to confirm.
At first I thought that Claes Pietersen and Trijn Pieters were Marij’s parents (in which case she would have been born in 1644, making her 34 on her wedding day). However, they were from Blockdijk, and a Marij Claes from Blockdijk married Pieter Dircksen in 1666.[1]
