Biography

Aaron Jaques was baptized on March 6, 1682 in Broadwell, Gloucestershire, England. He was the son of John Jaques.

Aaron married Abigail Moor on November 11, 1707 at Saint Mary The Virgin, Aldermanbury, London, London, England. Aaron and Abigail had at least the following children who were living at the time Aaron executed his Will in which he named: two sons: John and William; and seven daughters: Elizabeth, Ann?, Mary, Jane, Eleanor, Sarah, and Deborah.

Aaron was on the land tax rolls in 1727 in City of London, Farringdon Without, having paid L12 that year. On December 7, 1697, Aaron was admitted to hs apprenticeship in carpentry with Master carpenter John Eddon and to serve 7 years as set forth in his Freedom of the City Admission Papers. After his apprenticeship, Aaron was a carpenter by trade and shared his business with brother William.

In his Will, Aaron left his wife gold, a diamond, and her "wearing apparel" among other estate items. He named 9 of his children as "joynt [sic] executors" of his estate. His Will was proved on April 9, 1734 in London.
