Biography

This profile is part of the St Helens, Lancashire One Place Study.

George Jaques was christened on 30 Dec 1832 at St Helens Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Jaques. His father's occupation was recorded as collier, and the family's address as Eccleston.

By June 6th 1841, the family was living in Catchey Moss, Eccleston. Thomas was a tool maker.
