Isaac Jaques was born in about 1815 in Eccleston, Lancashire. He was the son of George and Mary Jaques.
By June 6th 1841, the family were living in Catchey Moss, Eccleston; George was a tool maker, his son Isaac was a tailor.
Isaac's mother died in 1842, and was buried on 3 Dec 1842 at Rainford Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Her age was recorded as 58, and her address as Eccleston.
Isaac married Ann Foster on 20 Dec 1847 at Christ Church in Eccleston, Lancashire. Both were of full age (21 or more), and neither had been married before. Isaac was a tailor living in Eccleston; Ann lived in Windle. Their fathers were named as George Jacques (cutler) and Thomas Foster (collier). The witnesses were William Morecroft and Elizabeth Mackevoy.
