William Jarrett was born in 1739 and baptised on 4 Feb 1739 (New Style)[1] at St Mary, Chatham, Kent, England. He was the son of Thomas Jarrett and Alice Allison.[2]
No other confirmed details of William are known. There were multiple William Jarretts living in Chatham at the time.
Two William Jarretts were buried at Chatham in 1740 but neither was marked as an infant so they were probably not him. There were other William Jarretts buried at Chatham in 1763, 1773 and 1783 which could be him. There were no marriages of William Jarretts at Chatham in the 1760s but there were a few in nearby parishes which could be him.
