Biography
William was baptised at Croxton, Cambs on 18 Apr 1802, the son of William and Mary Jarrett.[1]
He married Sarah Surkitt on 17 Apr 1832 at Toseland, Huntingdonshire[2]
He appeared in the census of 6 Apr 1841 at Eltisley Cambs - William Jarrett 35 ag lab, b in Cambs Sarah 25 not b in Cambs, Maryann 9 not b in Cambs, Jane 7 not b in Cambs, Betsy 5 b in Cambs, Sarah 1 b in Cambs.[3]
He emigrated to Canada at some time after his wife died in Jul 1848.
He appeared in the 1881 census in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada - William Jarriott head widow 78 b England Farmer; Betsy Jarriott 40 b England tailoress[4]
He died on 26 Apr 1889 at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada gentleman of cancer of the tongue".[5]
