William Henry Jarrett was born in 1858, a son of Benjamin Jarrett (1810-1881) and Amelia Anelize Gorr or Gow (1825-1907). He sometimes used the name Henry William Jarrett.
NOTE: There is a discrepancy between the birth date on his death certificate[1] on which his daughter Bella said he was born in 1854 and his gravestone[2] which has 1858. However, his daughter also said he was 76 years old, which would have made his birth year 1858. So, we will use 1858 as his birth year until further evidence can be found, maybe a baptismal record. He married Elizabeth "Eliza" Neumoyer or Moyer (1859 - 1940). Their children included:
Occupation:
1880: Painter[3]
1910: Cigar box manufacturer. The family had moved to 2335 Fairhill Street in Philadelphia.[4]
1922: Retired from cigar box manufacturing[1]
William passed away at age 76 in 1934 and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.[2],[1]
