Walter Jarrett was born in Dukinfield, Cheshire, England.

Walter's birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1881 in the Ashton Under Lyne district.^[1]

Walter was the son of Joseph Thomas and Elizabeth Jarrett, of 25, Bridge Eye, Dukinfield, Cheshire.^[2]

In the 1901 census Walter was in Dukinfield, Cheshire, England. He was 19, single, a labourer in a cakes works living with parentsand siblings in Wharf St Dukinfield ^[3]

In the 1911 census Walter was 28, single, a labourer in the building trade living with his parents and siblings in Dukinfield now part of Lancashire, England.^[4]

He was killed on 3rd December 1917 during the First World War in France .^[5]. ^[2]
