Biography

Ann Javens was born Sloothby, Lincolnshire, England, about 1843, the daughter of Charles Javens and Maria Holland. Her birth was registered in the Silsby district, Lincolnshire.

In 1850, she was six years old when the Javens family emigrated to the British Colony of New South Wales, Australia, aboard the Lord Stanley, arriving 26th August, 1850 at Port Jackson. They belonged to the Church of England, and, all except her younger sister, Harriett, could read. They arrived in good health. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1859, she married William Kable, their marriage registered in the Carcoar district, New South Wales. ^[3]

She passed away 14th May, 1868, at Teapot Swamp, her death being registered Bathurst, New South Wales, with the forenames of her parents indexed as Charles and Maria. ^{[4] [5]}
