John worked as an agricultural labourer. In 1819, at age 23, he married Mary Thatcher and they would become the parents of 6 children.
John was widowed in 1857, and he survived at least until the 1861 Census. However, we are unable to locate any verifiable death record, so we have recorded his death as being 'after 1861'. It is likely that he died sometime during the 1860's.
