Died April 30, at Richland Center, Wis., Mrs. Margaret A. Basye, Aged 86. Both she and her husband, Seth Basye, who died eleven years ago, were charger members of the church at Pine River, Wis., organized in 1856. Funeral Services were conducted by the pastor, Edward Owers.

Almost nothing is known about her father. Census records from 1900 state that her father was born in Ireland and last name was Joy or possibly Jay. It is presumed he died in the late 1820's.

Margaret was born about 1822. Margaret Sandlin Jay or Joye ... She passed away in 1902. [1]
