Biography

Lydia Jay was born to John Jay and Elizabeth "Betty" Pugh on 15 May 1793, in Newberry District, South Carolina, as recorded in the records of the Mill Creek Monthly Quaker Meeting, Miami County, Ohio.[1] She died on 20 Mar 1830 as recorded in Quaker records.[2]

She married Moses Coppock on 22 Nov 1809 in Miami County, Ohio, as recorded in the Mill Creek Monthly Meeting records.[3]
