Biography

Fredrick was born in 1747. He was the son of Peter Jay and Mary Van Cortlandt. He passed away in 1799.[1]


. Frederick was the younger brother of John Jay who was active in the war. While John Jay was in Europe Frederick remained in New York looking after their father and taking care of the family interests.

Frederick married Margaret Barclay 1752-1791
