Biography

William was born in 1735 in Brunswick, Brunswick, Virginia, United States. He was the son of Philip Jean and Mary Thomlinson.

William died at the age of about 68 on 31 October 1803 in Stokes, Pitt, North Carolina, United States.

Parents

There is no record that sheds any light on the possible parents of William Jean. There is no record of a Philip Jean who married Elizabeth Thomlinson. YDNA does show William did descend from John Jane of Charles City County, VA. John's son Philip was married to Elizabeth but her surname was most likely Davis.

Research Notes

In the 1790 census William (age 54) was living in Guilford, North Carolina, United States.[1]

William died at the age of 68 on 31 October 1803 in Stokes, North Carolina, United States and was buried in Walkertown (Forsyth County), Forsyth County, North Carolina, USA.[2]
